Dear Parishioners, In this Sunday's Gospel, Jesus asks the question of his disciples:" Who do people say that I am." Peter answers, inspired by the Holy Spirit, Jesus is the Christ. In a few more verses, Peter rebukes Jesus when Jesus speaks of his suffering to come on the cross. Peter is thinking like all of us do, in our human terms. Peter has faith, but couldn't comprehend the suffering. Let us be open to God's word in our our lives. That we may be open to follow His will for us towards eternal life.
