St. Mary's Main Church restrooms have reopened this weekend. We are following Montgomery County re-opening procedures using CDC and EPA approved disinfectants to clean the restrooms between each religious service. We will recommend parishioners to follow public health recommendations of using the bathrooms in your home before coming to Mass and to only use public bathrooms in case of emergency.
The month of October is filled with a number of significant and perhaps more well known saints. St. Mary's Church subscribes to Formed.org for the benefit of its parishioners. Take a look at the vast number of offerings in movies, online books, audios and prayer devotionals which include some of these October saints. (St. Therese of the Child Jesus, The Holy Guardian Angels, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Ignatius of Antioch, St. John Paul II, Sts. Simon and Jude). Confessionswill be offered Saturday, October 17, 1 pm (2 priests) and Wednesday, October 21, 5 pm (1 priest) in the Main Church.
As you ready your closets for the Fall and Winter, please consider donating items you no longer need. The St. Mary’s Scouts will collect gently used clothing and home goods for the Interfaith Clothing Center
this weekend. The Scouts will be in parking lot during the Saturday, October 17, 5 PM Mass and the three morning Masses on Sunday, October 18. Please look for the Scouts and their U-Haul in the church parking lot next weekend.
Confirmation Candidate Fall Retreat, Sunday, October 18th:All teen candidates to receive Confirmation this upcoming Spring will be attending a mini-retreat to pray and reflect as they prepare for Confirmation! It is not too late to join our CCD Classes!Religious education classes are now meeting by Zoom video calls for children from 1st grade - High School, including for our 2 year Sacrament preparation programs. All students in 1st grade and older are invited to our First Communion preparation classes, and all students from 7th grade through high school are invited to our Confirmation preparation classes. First Reconcilation will be in December , so all students receiving First Reconcilation should join classes promptly to be well prepared.
