This email did not go out last weekend due to technical difficulties from our third party sender Constant Contact. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
In our first reading on Sunday, the prophet Isaiah is encouraging us to bring our troubles to the Lord. The challenges we face in our lives compounded with the pandemic affects allows our hearts to seek a closer relationship with the Risen Christ. May we all feel comfortable allowing Jesus to be the chauffeur in our lives.
We are delighted to see St. Mary's parishioners returning to Mass to seek Jesus in the Eucharist. Here are a few items to be mindful of:
• Observe social distancing norms while on St. Mary’s Church campus.
• Masks are required the entirety of Mass and in the parking lot.
• Arrive 15 minutes early with sanitized hands; an usher will seat your family.
• In consideration of your brothers and sisters and your clergy, you are encouraged to receive Holy Communion by the hand.
• Please depart promptly after dismissal.
• Bathrooms will NOT be available.
A reminderthat restroom facilities are closed at St. Mary’s until further notice. The Archdiocese of Washington has extraordinary requirements beyond our capability to maintain a safe environment and proper sanitary conditions. We simply do not have the means to comply with the CDC guidelines to sanitize the restrooms after every individual use. Please use the bathroom in your home before coming to Mass.
We invite parishioners to follow St. Mary’s on Facebook @stmarysrockville and Twitter @stmaryrockville. Our posts and tweets highlight important parish news, offer suggestions for living out the Faith, and feature two very popular hashtags: “Things Fr. Val Says” and “Fr. Val Having Tea”.
