We will be hosting a History Day in honor of the parish's 200th Anniversary on Saturday, September 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the parish hall. The event will feature the debut of a new book written especially for the anniversary by parishioner Roger Langley, History of St. Mary's Parish, 1813-2013, Celebrating 200 Years of Catholic Faith in Rockville, Maryland.

The Assumption of the Virgin Mary into Heaven, was the bodily taking up of the Virgin Mary into Heaven at the end of her earthly life. August 15 is a Holy Day of Obligation.

"200 years of Catholic Faith in Rockville" On August 22, the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, (our feast day) we will celebrate the Bicentennial Kick-off with a Mass at 7:00 pm.
